Why We Do This....

Hobbes

Hobbes was my strength and love. My first Attiwapiskat rescue pup, malnourished and fluffy, he grew into an incredible protector and love bug that played with joy and enthusiasm.

Buffy

Buffy was an Attiwapiskat rescue. A litter and a year old when she came to me, she loves life and is the eternal puppy! 13 years young in 2025, she sings whenever vistors arrive.

Achilles

Achilles was a tick infested pup that the previous owners allowed me to adopt him. He never fails to show his gratitude and is the local rescue dog alerting everyone when there is an animal in distress.

Sage

Olive

Olive is a happy love life AND food dog that we rescued from Alberta. She likes to carry around pet rocks and steal toys!

Zorro

Zorro is a clever escape artist. His name means "fox" in Spanish and he is quick to alert us of anything happening and can get out of any space!

Sylvester

My first horse ever is truly a big goofball. A pure Andalucian PRE he is very regal. We nursed him back to health from his previous life and he is a sturdy and confident boy that loves to please!

Chica

Xica or Chica is the lovely mountain raised horse that we adopted. She is smaller than the others, but don't let that fool you! There is no question that she is in charge of the herd.

Sierra

once upon a time, mules were the preferred mode of transportation. But now, Sierra is the only one in the neighbourhood. She identifies as a horse and loves all the attention we can bestow upon her!

Romeo

Romeo is the largest of NuNu's pups. He is a fearless protector that tries to fit on the pillow next to my head, as though he was a tiny puppy.

Bear

This handsome boy is one of the amazing puppies that were born to NuNu when we rescued her. His playfulness and cuddleness are unmatched.

Girasol

This lovely horse was almost tame when he came to live with us. His spookiness has taken time lessen as he builds his confidence and has learned that going for a ride is fun and he gets to show off his beautiful gait and spirit.
